Seraphim's father explains the NDE

Such teachings, Father Seraphim explained, were invented by demons and delivered through the media to spiritualists. These doctrines were specifically intended to neutralize and replace the traditional Christian concept of the afterlife. Father Seraphim described the occultist conception of post-mortem life, exemplified in the New Era of post-mortem and post-mortem life, as merely a popular version of the spiritual doctrines of the previous century. The best defense against this dangerous system of beliefs is the truth contained in Scripture and the words of the Holy Fathers and in the writings of their faithful interpreters in our day.
